The Gabriela Mistral Fundation carries on the legay of Gabriela Mistral, particulary her love and care for the children and the aged of her native land, Chile.

 

For this purpose the foundation strives to fulfill Gabriela’s commitment through grants to charitable, educational and social institutions that directly help the poor in areas such as education, language development, the arts, cultural and environmental appreciation and protection and other areas that provide the poor with better opportunities to succeed in a modern and competitive world.

 

Since its founding the foundation has delivered programs and projects in Chile to those in need and has organized events in the United States to promote the life and work of Gabriela Mistral.

 

Founded in 2007, the Gabriela Mistral Foundation is a non-profit oganization incorporated in the State of New York.
